It seems like we are constantly on the go. I love to catch up and read <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">everyone's</span> blog but never feel like sitting down and typing one myself. So many things have happened since the last post. Where to start??????</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" ><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>First off, I guess I will start back in May. I got a phone call that no one wants. My mom called and told me she had cancer. After losing my grandmother to cancer, I had a hard time even hearing it. She said the doctor told her she had a type of "female" cancer(for lack of actually typing the word out). Of course, I start asking all kinds of questions, to which she doesn't have the answers. She told me that after she heard the word cancer she stopped listening. After the initial shock wore off, I told myself we were going to not worry until the doctor told us to worry. Long story short, she had surgery at the end of June, and as of now, she is cancer free. Luckily, I guess they caught it early on.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" ><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>In June Aidan turned 3. He has changed so much in one year. He is now completely potty trained, which is big. He talks non-stop and loves going to school. He also loves his Meme-<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Jeremi</span>, for those of you who don't know her nickname. He follows her around like crazy. He always asks her if he can come play in her room, which she always says no. He just keeps on until she finally gives in. He is such a repeat of what she does or says. He is still not into TV, which I guess I shouldn't complain. He still loves trains and trucks, and loves to go for a ride on his trike. Also in June, marked a year since I was diagnosed with diabetes. I like to think I am doing great. It is definitely a life changer.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" ><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>In July, I got a call from my principal asking if I wanted to take the ESL teacher position. After talking it over with some friends, I took the job. I have to say, I am loving it. It is such a change from being in the classroom. I am getting to know more kiddos and getting to work with all grade levels. It is definitely a learning process. I have been so accustomed to Kindergarten and wrapped up in all of that, I never knew anything else. </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" ><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>In August, I was a little sad. Some of you know my baby girl was going to be starting High School. She had been ready since her 8<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">th</span> grade dance. Mom on the other hand, not so much. We just got finished with Homecoming, which was an experience in itself. I just can't believe that she is all grown up(in some ways at least). I can remember the day she was born. I am still getting used to the fact that she is 15 and already asking when she can take driver's ed. Yikes!!!!</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" ><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" >There is so much more, but I can't think right now. I would post pics but our camera is not working. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon. Thanks for keeping up with the craziness I like to call my life.</span></div>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-21785988956498454362011-02-13T11:50:00.000-08:002011-02-13T12:01:00.943-08:00Not enough time<span class="Apple-style-span" >So I have come to realize that it has been a very long time since my last blog. I have also come to realize that there is not enough time in our days. Since school has started this year we have been going non-stop. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Jeremi</span> was playing volleyball and cheering so we were doing 6:45 practices every morning for <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">vball</span> and after school cheer on Mondays and Tuesdays and then <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">vball</span> games on Thursday. Then, she started basketball so we had 7:15 practices every morning and cheer on Mondays and Tuesdays and <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">bball</span> on Thursdays. Well, we just finished <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">bball</span> and we are finally getting a rest. She is not playing any spring sports(that I know of) so we will get a break. She is still involved in everything at school but I don't have to be there for that. I just have to pick her up from school late, which is good because I have more time to work in my classroom. That is another story. This year has been a very stressful year at work. I feel like I am a babysitter, a secretary, a nurse, a counselor, janitor, and whatever else I do. Sometimes I feel like there is something else out there for me. It has been a struggle to say the least. I am sure my husband wishes I would do something else as well. Right after Christmas, I got my insulin pump. We are still working out all the details and settings, but I guess it has been easier. I am not having to give an injection 3-4 times a day-just once every 3 days. Aidan calls it my button. Kinda cute. Speaking of Aidan, he is a handful. He talks so much. It is funny because Bobby will say-remember when you thought he would never talk? Well, not anymore. There are times I need silence. He is the funniest kid and can always make us laugh. He is also very loving. He comes up to us all the time and says, "Mommy, I <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">wub</span> you." For those of you who don't know what he is saying---Mommy I love you. It melts my heart. He also tells us we are his friends. He still will not use the potty at home, however, he goes all the time at school. He will wear underwear and sit on the potty but won't do anything. I knew boys were harder, but come on. I guess I know what I will be doing during Spring Break, which by the way, I can't wait for. Well, this is it for now. It was a quick update. Sorry no pictures.</span>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-8081104418866938362010-10-06T17:58:00.000-07:002010-10-06T18:10:54.045-07:00What have we been up to?<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TK0d_5TlbTI/AAAAAAAAANw/rqlNPjW6anU/s1600/DSC_0250.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TK0d_5TlbTI/AAAAAAAAANw/rqlNPjW6anU/s320/DSC_0250.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5525105301405396274" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TK0d_j2Y1qI/AAAAAAAAANo/RgYdUaXgM1Y/s1600/DSC_0249.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TK0d_j2Y1qI/AAAAAAAAANo/RgYdUaXgM1Y/s320/DSC_0249.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5525105295645791906" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TK0d_BC6aSI/AAAAAAAAANg/jfMGpVC9h98/s1600/DSC_0192.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TK0d_BC6aSI/AAAAAAAAANg/jfMGpVC9h98/s320/DSC_0192.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5525105286303082786" /></a><br />Well, since school started we have been very busy. Jeremi has vball practice every morning at 6:45. Then, once a week she has cheer practice after school till 5:15. Then, she either cheers on Monday or Tuesday nights so we are at the field until at least 8. Then, on Thursdays, she has vball games till about 7:30 or 8. I feel like all I do is run, run, and oh yea-run. Aidan is a handfull. He can only handle so much football and vball before either Bobby or I have to take him home while the other one stays with Jeremi. Bobby is Bobby-working, playing softball, and being a great dad. I am always so tired after school that I am in bed right after Aidan. I went to the doctor today and my levels are really good. My insurance won't pay for an insulin pump until after December but my doctor said that he is working on getting me a loaner until then so I can go ahead with it. We will see. I am looking forward to getting the pump. Well, gotta put Aidan in bed and then of course, go to bed myself. Enjoy the pics. Will post more later.Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-4276963963216345712010-07-07T09:33:00.000-07:002010-07-07T09:42:02.555-07:004th of July<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSuPe25x9I/AAAAAAAAAMo/KJF2J3z9thE/s1600/7-4-10+037.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSuPe25x9I/AAAAAAAAAMo/KJF2J3z9thE/s320/7-4-10+037.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491205426676090834" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSuOxyDU8I/AAAAAAAAAMg/dqRD5lAcLpM/s1600/7-4-10+035.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSuOxyDU8I/AAAAAAAAAMg/dqRD5lAcLpM/s320/7-4-10+035.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491205414576149442" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSuIsbSDrI/AAAAAAAAAMY/ZyIyC9RR1oc/s1600/7-4-10+029.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSuIsbSDrI/AAAAAAAAAMY/ZyIyC9RR1oc/s320/7-4-10+029.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491205310059253426" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSt1CZ-O1I/AAAAAAAAAMQ/SZAN5wm3w7M/s1600/7-4-10+027.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSt1CZ-O1I/AAAAAAAAAMQ/SZAN5wm3w7M/s320/7-4-10+027.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491204972361956178" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSt0E4PbqI/AAAAAAAAAMI/zfq3B2EdNYY/s1600/7-4-10+028.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSt0E4PbqI/AAAAAAAAAMI/zfq3B2EdNYY/s320/7-4-10+028.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491204955845914274" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDStzkPuU6I/AAAAAAAAAMA/rIr7zTyz2_M/s1600/7-4-10+019.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDStzkPuU6I/AAAAAAAAAMA/rIr7zTyz2_M/s320/7-4-10+019.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491204947086037922" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSty4WokZI/AAAAAAAAAL4/jWrfe1Kz1oY/s1600/7-4-10+017.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDSty4WokZI/AAAAAAAAAL4/jWrfe1Kz1oY/s320/7-4-10+017.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491204935303860626" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDStyGGtn-I/AAAAAAAAALw/DANwaYtbh5g/s1600/7-4-10+014.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDStyGGtn-I/AAAAAAAAALw/DANwaYtbh5g/s320/7-4-10+014.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491204921815310306" /></a><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">We went to Beaumont for the 4<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">th</span>. He had also told <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Jeremi</span> that he would get a pool so he followed through and we wanted to take advantage of that-and maybe escape all the rain we have had. We have tried to talk him into a "real" pool for a couple of years now to no avail. This is the next best thing. We had fun-lots of good food and family. However, when it came to the fireworks-not so much fun for one little fella. He loved all the little stuff we got for him and he loved all the color but when it came to all the loud noises-not so much. So, needless to say me and Aidan stayed inside for the fireworks show. He is still not good with loud noises. He can handle the lawnmower but when it comes to the vacuum or a blow dryer-not having it. He runs the other way. Enjoy the pics.</span></span>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-22948137266826818072010-07-06T12:12:00.001-07:002010-07-06T12:24:32.397-07:00Changes<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;">Well, as some of you already know, on my birthday this year, my life changed forever. I had one week of summer school down. That Saturday the 12th, I woke up and felt really bad. I spent the rest of the day puking. I would vomit and still feel like I had just eaten a full meal. I was having problems breathing as well. I stayed in bed all day and just thought it was a virus. Until..... the next morning when I was still puking. I called a friend around 6 that morning and asked her to come watch Aidan so Bobby could take me to the ER. I was so dehydrated and weak I could barely walk. When I got to the ER the doctor walked in and was talking to me, asking me what was going on. Then, he told me I was diabetic. I told him no. I told him that I had had gestational diabetes but not now. He told me he could smell it on my breath. I told him it was just because I had been puking and hadn't brushed my teeth. He said no, you are diabetic. The nurse took my blood sugar level and it was 3 times what it should be. He told me I was in DKA or diabetic ketoacidosis. This is what people used to die from. Needless to say, it was very bad. They tried to take x-rays and I couldn't even stand up for that. They started fluids right away and told me they were admitting me to the hospital. I had to ride in an ambulance to North cypress hopsital-which is an awesome hospital. I was put in a regular room, and within 10 minutes they moved me to ICU-a little scary. They told me they needed to monitor me very closely for the next 24 hours. I had two different IV's with stuff running through them and the nurses were in there every hour to check everything. I was out of it. They also told me that my potassium levels were dangerously low as well. Having potassium running through you is not fun-AT ALL. I got to move to a regular room the next day and stayed for another 3 days. Needless to say, I am now a Type 1 diabetic who will have to be on insulin for the rest of my life. I have to check my sugar levels 4-5 times a day and give two different injections at least 4 times a day. My doctor says I am a great candidate for the insulin pump-but I am still unsure of that. The sad thing is-I started experiencing symptoms back in March and told my doctor about it and she just blew me off and told me we could test later-so basically it could have not been as bad if she would have just tested me like I asked. Let's just say I will be looking for another doctor. So....now I am having to eat way differently than I used to-which is not all bad. Just a lot to take in all at once. It will take awhile to get everything under control and my doctor always reminds me that if it were 100 years ago I would not still be here talking to him-little overwhelming. So, things have been crazy this last month and believe me... I will never forget this birthday. I didn't even get a birthday cake.</span></span>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-83470315722267237212010-07-06T11:58:00.000-07:002010-07-06T12:10:43.153-07:00Aidan's Birthday<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDN_fDJ7-zI/AAAAAAAAALo/o3ZOOBM_zBk/s1600/P6050152.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDN_fDJ7-zI/AAAAAAAAALo/o3ZOOBM_zBk/s320/P6050152.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490872542094424882" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDN_e06iaZI/AAAAAAAAALg/N9oepDzRRaw/s1600/P6050133.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDN_e06iaZI/AAAAAAAAALg/N9oepDzRRaw/s320/P6050133.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490872538271738258" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDN_eSa77wI/AAAAAAAAALY/RAONKtXuTgA/s1600/P6020132.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/TDN_eSa77wI/AAAAAAAAALY/RAONKtXuTgA/s320/P6020132.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490872529012387586" /></a><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Well, it has taken a month to get this posted. Things have been a little busy around the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Vasek</span> household. For Aidan's birthday we just did a family thing at Chuck E. Cheese. He loved it. He was son into all the games until he saw Chuck E. He followed him around and wanted to touch his shoes. We got a couple of pictures of them together. It was so cute. He had so much fun playing. After we got home we let him open his presents. He got the new improved bubble mower and a grill just like daddy's. We have "eaten" so many hot dogs and hamburgers that we are sick of them. He loves to grill. He even takes it outside when Bobby is grilling outside. He makes sizzle noises when he puts the burgers on the grill.</span></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Aidan has gotten so big-and such a temper. He is throwing fits with the best of them. He doesn't like time out and will say sorry over and over until I let him out. He has started talking lots more. He won't be quiet now. IF you don't listen to him he will scream your name until you do. When we went for his 2 year checkup he weighed 26 lbs and was 34 inches tall. However, his head was in the 90<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">th</span> percentile. So we have a very skinny boy with a big head. The crazy thing is the boy eats all the time. I guess he is just so active-by which I mean he never stops-that he doesn't gain weight. We are starting potty training later this month-great fun. He will sit on the potty and loves to wipe and flush but won't ever do anything. He tells me when he has a dirty diaper but not before. Hopefully, by the end of the summer things will be done.</span></span></div>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-78088973115638106232010-04-26T15:44:00.000-07:002010-04-26T15:48:53.246-07:00Is it too early for the Terrible Twos?<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'courier new';"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium;">I know that alot of parents say that their child goes through some sort of the Terrible Twos before they are actually two. I am pretty sure we are definitely there already. Here lately Aidan has been sticking out his tongue at us. Well, at first it was cute but now I am pretty sure he knows it is not good. When we call his name or he gets in trouble he will stick his tongue out and laugh. Granted it is hard not to laugh but we know it isn't good. Now, he has started hitting. Alot of the time in the face. We have tried the whole sitting out thing and it is not working. Obviously, he is too young to spank and it is not a good thing to spank(hit) him when he is hitting. When he gets in trouble he will look at you, say "no, no" and then hit at you. His babysitter says he doesn't do it there, so I guess that is good. I guess since Jeremi was such an easy baby, and a girl, I am going to experience the true joy of raising a "boy"..Great, can't wait. Which by the way, he is all boy. He loves to be outside.</span></span>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-60817938310815514582010-04-10T20:24:00.001-07:002010-04-10T20:30:35.695-07:00More pics<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FB6Muom-I/AAAAAAAAALQ/CDD4boCFkgM/s1600/P4040135.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FB6Muom-I/AAAAAAAAALQ/CDD4boCFkgM/s320/P4040135.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458716691454794722" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Waiting to get those eggs!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBwsOaoXI/AAAAAAAAALI/lzOmNcazIBU/s1600/P4040128.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBwsOaoXI/AAAAAAAAALI/lzOmNcazIBU/s320/P4040128.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458716528110903666" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Dyeing eggs-when he was finished with his he decided to get some of <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Jeremi's.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBwFdVmnI/AAAAAAAAALA/8dUc_7gMwVo/s1600/P4040124.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBwFdVmnI/AAAAAAAAALA/8dUc_7gMwVo/s320/P4040124.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458716517704505970" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Aidan's basket.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBv9I9sUI/AAAAAAAAAK4/K7qsF29o19M/s1600/P3190112.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBv9I9sUI/AAAAAAAAAK4/K7qsF29o19M/s320/P3190112.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458716515471569218" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Busted lip from the ballpark.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBvUpMcEI/AAAAAAAAAKw/XLMwqpPsDS0/s1600/P3060019.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S8FBvUpMcEI/AAAAAAAAAKw/XLMwqpPsDS0/s320/P3060019.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5458716504600899650" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Helping daddy in the yard. It seems like things keep getting crazier and crazier. We have been so busy. Jeremi had a major family history project we had to work on and we are still in the process of working on her Texas history project. We are headed to the Battleship and San Jacinto Monument tomorrow to finish up. Jeremi is doing good. She is almost an eighth grader. I can't believe it. Where does the time go? Speaking of getting big. I can't believe my little man is about to be two.He is into everything. He has no fear. He had his first busted lip a couple of weeks ago. He tripped at the softball park and caught himself with his lips. Not fun. </span></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">We have gone to the rodeo since my last post. He loved watching all the animals and riding some of the rides. Me, on the other hand, I had more fun eating all the food. We even got to see the Jonas Brothers. We were leaving and heard alot of girls screaming. Bobby went over to check it out and took some pictures. One of my friends gave Bobby and I tickets to go see Lady Antebellum at the rodeo, so we got to have a date night. We had alot of fun. </span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> Easter was a couple of weeks ago. We went to the Saturday night service at church so it wouldn't be so crowded. Sunday morning we just hung out at the house and Jeremi and Aidan dyed Easter eggs and then they hunted them. I had to make Jeremi hunt with Aidan. She was not too happy about that. All Aidan wanted to do was bang the eggs together. It was cute watching him put the eggs in his basket.</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">School is almost over for this year. I am excited. It has been a long and stressful year. I am ready for a change. I have asked my administrators if at all possible if next year I can change grade levels. I am praying and hoping. I think after 7 years in Kindergarten I am ready for a change. However, if it does happen, I am a little nervous.</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Aidan's birthday is just around the corner. We haven't really decided where we want to have it. We are thinking maybe just at the park. We thought about the Little Gym, since Aidan has been taking a class there. Which by the way, he is having so much fun. He has really become more social and learned to follow the teacher. Anyway, not quite sure what we are doing, so stayed tuned for more info. Summer is coming soon and I have a feeling it will be full of firsts for Aidan and crazy busy for Bobby and I. Until next time, enjoy the pictures.</span></span></div></div>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-38972236388769927022010-02-21T11:51:00.000-08:002010-02-21T12:04:03.889-08:00These days with Aidan<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GRpPTfFwI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/UxkfPt6uPCc/s1600-h/P2200148.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GRpPTfFwI/AAAAAAAAAJ4/UxkfPt6uPCc/s320/P2200148.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440789962509195010" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GRohwuRrI/AAAAAAAAAJw/IpxdutOfEk8/s1600-h/P1130048.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GRohwuRrI/AAAAAAAAAJw/IpxdutOfEk8/s320/P1130048.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440789950283794098" /></a><br />So, I can't believe my son is closer to 2 now. He is growing everyday. His new thing is squealing at the top of his lungs. It is like a piercing sound-which is not fun. He is eating like crazy. However, he will only eat veggies if they are mixed in with something else. He loves drinking out of a straw or a "big" cup. No more sippy cups for him. He has such a personality and will let you know when he doesn't like something. He loves to give hugs and kisses, but only on his time. I love watching him and Jeremi play. Now that he is bigger she is paying alot more attention to him. He loves to be in her room, especially when she has music going. He loves to dance. If her door is shut he will go and knock on it until she opens it. He can reach the handle but hasn't figured out how to turn it yet. He is talking alot more now. Bobby is teaching him the vowels. They will go around saying, a,e,i,o,u all the time. He is definitely repeating everything you say. His favorite word right now is trash. He will found the smallest thing on the floor just so he can say trash and go throw it away. I am hoping that if won't be long until we can start potty training. When one of us goes to the restroom he comes in there and starts pulling his diaper off. I have sat him on his seat a couple of times but he just sits there. He definitely knows what toilet paper is for. He pretends to wipe when he is sitting on the toilet. Since he has had diaper rash a couple of times, he has some Cars underwear that I put on him to "air" out. He loves wearing them. He has started Little Gym. At first, he was not too interested, but now loves it. At least, loves doing what he wants to do. He is quite the dare devil. I just can't believe he is growing up so fast. Our neighbors just had a baby and it made me think back to when I had him. It seems so long ago. I just love him so much.Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-56594830236191092522010-02-21T11:30:00.000-08:002010-02-21T11:44:46.920-08:00Kemah-here we come!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GM5zrOlKI/AAAAAAAAAJo/wivUbRVB1_4/s1600-h/P2200146.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GM5zrOlKI/AAAAAAAAAJo/wivUbRVB1_4/s320/P2200146.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440784749592220834" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GM5UAlLvI/AAAAAAAAAJg/2TGLG4kc26Q/s1600-h/P2200142.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GM5UAlLvI/AAAAAAAAAJg/2TGLG4kc26Q/s320/P2200142.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440784741091847922" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMcgf_e2I/AAAAAAAAAJY/Hb2Pt56mfcw/s1600-h/P2200105.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMcgf_e2I/AAAAAAAAAJY/Hb2Pt56mfcw/s320/P2200105.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440784246228613986" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMcAZz6SI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/Neqbci_8Xqg/s1600-h/P2200103.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMcAZz6SI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/Neqbci_8Xqg/s320/P2200103.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440784237612755234" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMb504SJI/AAAAAAAAAJI/sww6ColG9Pc/s1600-h/P2200094.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMb504SJI/AAAAAAAAAJI/sww6ColG9Pc/s320/P2200094.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440784235847239826" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMbjDOeOI/AAAAAAAAAJA/E-slc6wgG1c/s1600-h/P2200078.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMbjDOeOI/AAAAAAAAAJA/E-slc6wgG1c/s320/P2200078.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440784229733398754" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMbHtOv6I/AAAAAAAAAI4/mIYg4myrGJM/s1600-h/P2200076.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S4GMbHtOv6I/AAAAAAAAAI4/mIYg4myrGJM/s320/P2200076.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440784222393384866" /></a><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">This weekend we had to start on Jeremi's history project. She has to visit at least 3 historical places in Texas-get pictures-info- and write a report and do a posterboard. We were going to go to the Blue Bell factory but for some weird reason they are closed on Saturdays. Then, she wanted to go to the Prison Museum in Huntsville. We were trying to do anything but that. We have been stuck inside for awhile with Aidan being sick and wanted to get out and have fun. Then, she mentioned the Moody Mansion. We went there, did what we needed to do, and then decided to go to Kemah. I have never been before, so I was excited. We decided if we were going to ride some of the rides that we better eat first. We ate at The Flying Dutchmen. It was good, but nothing wonderful-except for the price. We then ventured over to the Aquarium. We went through the Stingray Reef and watched as Bobby and Aidan touched the Stingrays. Aidan was loving it when they would come up out of the water wanting food. After our food had settled, we started toward the amusement rides. Aidan rode some things and then Jeremi and I rode the roller coaster. It was funny because Jeremi had never ridden one before. I love roller coasters, however, this time, not so much. My neck is so stiff and sore that I think my roller coaster days are over. We then decided to ride the train around the area, eat a funnel cake and go home. It was a long day, but so much fun with the family.</span>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-60232682186514617622010-01-14T17:03:00.001-08:002010-01-14T17:11:55.854-08:00Holiday Pics<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/S0_AtRx7N0I/AAAAAAAAAIg/NC0gfMe5S-w/s1600-h/1-5-10+184.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; Between holidays and the new year, I haven't found time. Where to start? Thanksgiving, I guess. We went to Lubbock. The trip there wasn't bad-except for Aidan woke up about 11 at night and we got there at 2 in the morning and he was ready to play. While we were there Bobby went hunting. He got a deer, so now we have tons of deer meat. Yummy! <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Jeremi</span> went on to Chicago with <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Gege</span> to see her aunt and cousins. She said it was cold but still fun. The rest of us drove back-I think it was the longest trip ever. Especially when we got back up the next morning to go to Beaumont to have Thanksgiving with Bobby's family. It was the first holiday since Bobby lost his granddad, so it was a little emotional. It was good to see family. As soon as we got back I was ready to put all the Christmas stuff out. We had fun doing that. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Jeremi</span> helped while Aidan touched everything. It was so funny because he wanted to pull things off of the tree but knew better. He would get really close and then look at me, like he was waiting one me to say something. Christmas was fun. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Jeremi</span> tore into her presents. Aidan on the other hand, did want to open anything he wanted to play with everyone <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">else's</span> stuff. My brother and his family were here. We got my niece a set of princess shoes. Aidan was more excited about that then anything else. He loves shoes. He used to not want to wear shoes and now we can't take them off. It was fun but I was ready to take things down the day after Christmas. I wanted my house back to normal. For New Years, <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Jeremi</span> was in Lubbock and the boys and I just went to an early dinner and then stayed home and watched movies. I was really afraid that the fireworks outside would wake Aidan up but he slept right through that and the live <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Tejano</span> music from the house 2 doors down that played until 1:30 in the morning. We are excited about the New Year and what all it will bring.Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-5233587550068881682009-11-01T07:43:00.001-08:002009-11-01T07:54:39.335-08:00So much going on<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Su2vNo9mDlI/AAAAAAAAAHA/LvKGlluraas/s1600-h/11-1-09+075.JPG"><img style="display:block; I feel like we go, go, go. Now that Jeremi is a teenager, she never wants to be at home. Therefore, the last couple of weekends when we have been going places, she has not gone, which means she is not in any of the pictures. I feel bad posting pics when she is not there, but she is too cool for us these days. We went to Dewberry Farms last weekend. I have to say I was not impressed. I think for the money you have to spend there needs to be more for the little ones. It is a great place if your kids are at least 5 or 6. Aidan played a little bit, but was more interested in just walking around more than anything. However, he loved going down the slides there. Halloween was fun. It was a great night for trick or treating. We went and saw "Grandma Cathy" in Northhampton. They always have a block party, so we went and hung out for awhile and then went trick or treating around that neighborhood. Aidan loved it. He wanted to pick his own candy. There were some houses that he didn't want to leave. And, of course, Jeremi was with her friends so we don't have any pics of her.<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Now, we are gearing up for our Lubbock trip for Thanksgiving. Bobby is going hunting and the rest of us are just going to hang out with family. Jeremi, once again, will be in Chicago with her Gege to visit her aunt and cousins. Our family has been going 90 to nothing since school started. Jeremi is staying busy with school and being the "social bug" that she is. She is either with friends or they are at the house. As for Aidan, there are always things going on with that little monster. He is in running mode these days and loves to be outside. When I get home from school I just leave the back door open and he goes in and out playing while I cook dinner. He is also very into shoes these days. He has to have shoes on all the time. If I take them off he whines and follows me around until I put them back on. He is loving daycare now. He reaches out to his sitter every morning. He had his first "accident" last week. One of the other boys that is older than him at daycare bit him on the arm. Of course, he was fine but I had to call everyone and let them know. Bobby was very upset. It is funny to hear his reactions-"Is she still gonna keep that kid?" I had to talk him through it and make him realize that accidents happen and it may be that one day Aidan is the one biting. Aidan is such a smart little guy. I can tell him to go get something or throw something in the trash and he does it. He can point out his nose and his belly button. We are working on pointing out his ears. He loves to dance. It is funny to watch. He even does this thing where he will walk backwards-like the late MJ.<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Bobby and I are both just extremely busy with work. So much for relaxing. Saturday we spent just running errands. Aidan got his third haircut in three months. We decided to go to a new place-by new I mean cheaper. He hated it. He screamed the whole time. He was even sitting in Bobby's lap and he didn't like it. Afterward, they gave him a sucker and he loved it. Sunday, we went to the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Astros</span> game. It was Aidan's first game. He did fairly well. He got restless at times and Bobby would take him to walk around. Fortunately, we had space for him to walk back and forth by our seats. We left around the 7<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">th</span> inning. I thought he might be tired. Oh no, I was wrong. I am wondering if he is getting out of his afternoon nap. I am sure his babysitter will not like that. Speaking of babysitter, he is doing so good with her. He is not crying when I drop him off. He just goes right in. I am so thankful for that. It was so hard leaving him when he was crying. Aidan goes to the doctor for his 15 month checkup and shots this week. He is growing so much.<div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Jeremi</span> is doing well, too. She didn't make the volleyball team. She was upset for awhile but has gotten over it. She is still working out with the team and I am hoping that helps for next year when she tries out. She is about to be 13 years old. I can't believe it. My baby is a teenager. For her birthday she wants to go to New <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Braunfels</span> and float the river with some friends and family. It should be fun as long as the weather is good.<br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Everyone around here has been sick except for Aidan, thank goodness. We are all doing much better. Hopefully, that will be the only sickness around here for awhile.<br /></div>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-74034477035452284662009-08-09T13:52:00.000-07:002009-08-09T14:09:29.499-07:00First Trip to the Zoo<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86zw_yGJI/AAAAAAAAAEo/7WawSYChz9M/s1600-h/P8090054.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86zw_yGJI/AAAAAAAAAEo/7WawSYChz9M/s200/P8090054.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368073941849086098" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86zT51V8I/AAAAAAAAAEg/9Il5g5VwJ0o/s1600-h/P8090042.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86zT51V8I/AAAAAAAAAEg/9Il5g5VwJ0o/s200/P8090042.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368073934039504834" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86y42mJXI/AAAAAAAAAEY/VYPt99qslAw/s1600-h/P8090037.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86y42mJXI/AAAAAAAAAEY/VYPt99qslAw/s200/P8090037.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368073926778168690" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86ySTxpvI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/L6FPwPJu9H8/s1600-h/P8090030.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86ySTxpvI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/L6FPwPJu9H8/s200/P8090030.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368073916431574770" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86x9L4qzI/AAAAAAAAAEI/bqc-nONxb7U/s1600-h/P8090004.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Sn86x9L4qzI/AAAAAAAAAEI/bqc-nONxb7U/s200/P8090004.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368073910761335602" /></a><br />So, today we decided to go to the zoo. It started out great. Aidan really loved the fish. The weather was great, then it started raining. It rained for about 20 minutes. We were really bummed. It finally stopped and we continued. We were all hot and sweaty as you can probably tell in the pics and Aidan was sleepy. We did go all over the zoo and then decided to do the paddle boats. It was a great way to cool off, however, we didn't take any pics, which was a bummer. Jeremi got tired of paddling, but Aidan loved it. We had fun and I guess when Aidan gets older maybe he will enjoy it more. Jeremi loved it. We have at least 2 pics of every animal we saw.Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-68934040465657912522009-08-03T19:56:00.001-07:002009-08-03T20:00:07.229-07:00New pics<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej10LbfEI/AAAAAAAAAEA/BDoG_NC3HpU/s1600-h/8-3-09+044.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej10LbfEI/AAAAAAAAAEA/BDoG_NC3HpU/s320/8-3-09+044.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365937625970211906" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>This is where all my garage sale stickers went to.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej1YUKKrI/AAAAAAAAAD4/GiXt5bCkQfk/s1600-h/8-3-09+028.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej1YUKKrI/AAAAAAAAAD4/GiXt5bCkQfk/s320/8-3-09+028.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365937618490632882" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>First time he has been this close to Sadie-ever-without her running <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>away.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej0uU54rI/AAAAAAAAADw/srxV9--opkM/s1600-h/8-3-09+009.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej0uU54rI/AAAAAAAAADw/srxV9--opkM/s320/8-3-09+009.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365937607219471026" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>My daredevil-he climbs in and out.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej0aRBwuI/AAAAAAAAADo/f_NMFimpZqU/s1600-h/8-3-09+002.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Snej0aRBwuI/AAAAAAAAADo/f_NMFimpZqU/s320/8-3-09+002.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5365937601834500834" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>My handsome little man after his 2nd haircut.Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-79247246250946882672009-07-24T07:38:00.000-07:002009-07-24T07:42:57.151-07:00Ladies and Gents........<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">We have a walker. Aidan has been walking, almost running, for about a week and a half now. He is getting really good at it. He still has his moments of crawling, but not very often. The only problem now is to be able to do it in shoes. For those of you who don't know, Aidan is not a shoe fan. Whenever we try to put them on him, he either gets them off or whines until we take them off. So, basically all summer he hasn't worn shoes, except for when he gets his haircut. Which by the way, we just went and got his 2<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">nd</span> haircut already. We just got his first haircut at the beginning of June and now it is just the middle of July and we are getting another one.</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:100%;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Jeremi</span> comes home on Saturday so I will post pics of everything when she gets back. We have been taking it fairly easy this summer and hanging out at home. We bought Aidan a little pool that he can play in-which normally he will get in for a bit but then he crawls out and just plays with the water hose. He is 13 1/2 months now and still growing like a weed. He is STILL not walking completely yet. He will walk when no one is looking and then when we turn and look at him, he falls down. It is almost like he tries to run. We have tried to put shoes on him and he doesn't like them. We survived our first major diaper rash-it was tough on me so I know it was rough for him. It got to a point where he didn't want to be touched. He is such a little monkey. He crawls on everything. He pushes his toys to the couch or table and climbs on. He is definitely a dare devil.<div><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Jeremi</span> is in Lubbock for the rest of the summer. She is staying with her <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Gege</span> and Papa. They spoil her rotten, so she loves to be there. She was playing volleyball this summer for a summer league team at school, however, I let her quit because she was not getting anything out of it. At the practices, they just goofed off and the games were pretty much the same. There were some girls on the team that didn't care if they did horrible, they just goofed off. For those of you who know me, that just doesn't work for me. It really aggravates me when a parent allows their child to play sports and goof off, especially if it effects the entire team.</div><div>Anyway, enough of my soap box. I am attaching some pics-all of Aidan because <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Jeremi</span> took most of them.</div></div>Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-55556020774604997872009-06-26T18:59:00.000-07:002009-06-26T19:08:04.015-07:00Aidan UpdateWell, Aidan is almost 13 months now and he is still not showing any desire to walk. He has taken a couple of steps by himself but then he just falls down and crawls. I really thought that he would be walking by now. I have my fingers crossed that he will be walking at least by the end of the summer. I know, people say I shouldn't rush it-the thing is-<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Jeremi</span> was walking when she was 10 months-so for Aidan not to be walking yet is frustrating. He is still growing everyday and babbling like crazy-his new word is "uh-oh" when he drops something. It is very cute. He will look at us and then say it. At his 12 month checkup he was in the 75<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">th</span> percentile for height and size of his head and 25-50<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">th</span> percentile for his weight. His doctor said around a year their weight slows down but his is steadily increasing. That is because he eats like a little pig. He is still loving yogurt, applesauce, and fruit(almost any fruit except for mandarin oranges). His favorite things are <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Cheetos</span> puffs and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">anything</span> Mexican. He really loves <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">guacamole</span>. He is on whole milk and loving it. He is drinking from a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">sippy</span> for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a bottle before bed. I decided not to take him completely off the bottle just yet. He really loves that bottle at night. We are looking for a babysitter or daycare-still trying to make that decision. I am a little nervous about a "true" daycare. I am really hoping to find an in-home daycare. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The kids and I are leaving early Sunday morning to go to Lubbock to see family. We haven't traveled with Aidan that far since last Thanksgiving-when he slept most of the way. This will definitely be an adventure. Wish me luck.Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091827220299450917.post-87779468233360589902009-06-09T20:18:00.001-07:002009-06-09T20:22:16.989-07:00More Birthday pics<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mplRABWI/AAAAAAAAACQ/bnFz32OYW_s/s1600-h/6-6-09+(79).JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mplRABWI/AAAAAAAAACQ/bnFz32OYW_s/s320/6-6-09+(79).JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345533778531976546" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Our friend A.J. and her daughter Camryn.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mpo14kNI/AAAAAAAAACI/umNDJfElKUU/s1600-h/6-6-09+(48).JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mpo14kNI/AAAAAAAAACI/umNDJfElKUU/s320/6-6-09+(48).JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345533779491983570" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>End result of eating his cake.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mpe8wP2I/AAAAAAAAACA/d0nl8XFg6UA/s1600-h/6-6-09+(16).JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mpe8wP2I/AAAAAAAAACA/d0nl8XFg6UA/s320/6-6-09+(16).JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345533776836444002" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Cutie pie Camryn.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mpERirLI/AAAAAAAAAB4/5ZBEJdrVoio/s1600-h/6-6-09+(18).JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5btlhUucg34/Si8mpERirLI/AAAAAAAAAB4/5ZBEJdrVoio/s320/6-6-09+(18).JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345533769675877554" /></a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Nana K and Aidan.Mama Vasekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00219696643584744196noreply@blogger.com0
